What is the snapshot mode?
The communication in AIRe Link remote support combines video and audio streams and transfer them between the operator and the customer. This is the video mode, in which the session starts.
In some moments of the communication it may be beneficial to take a snapshot, either for more detailed explanation, for real-time drawing, see Zdenek_Moravek, or for later documentation. A snapshot also provides a better quality of image as the video inherently suffers from shivering and movement artifacts.
To take a snapshot, first orient the camera to get the target area in its view. Then the operator may toggle phone’s torch to adjust lightness of the scene (bottom toolbox). Next, he clicks the camera icon in the bottom toolbox. The snapshot appears on both the operator’s screen and the customer’s phone. The snapshot can be zoomed and panned with zoom/pan tool either from the bottom toolbox or right side zoom control. Zooming and panning is achieved by mouse scroll wheel and by dragging the image. All snapshot manipulations are transferred to the customer’s phone immediately.
In the snapshot mode, the operator can also share data from his computer simply by drag-and-dropping them in the snapshot area. All image formats including pdf are supported. Also, desktop sharing is available in the snapshot mode.
