AIRe Link 5.0
AIRe Link 5.0 is a large release consolidating everything delivered since 4.4. The headline additions are the Call In self-service support flow and a major overhaul of live-call network resilience, alongside broad improvements to sessions, contacts, media, exports, and subscription management.
Headline features
Call In — QR-code self-service support
A new way for clients to start a support session themselves by scanning a QR code, without an invitation.
- Organize entry points by topics and assign QR codes to them, with QR codes creatable directly during topic creation.
- Clients land in a waiting queue; assistants are alerted and can adopt a session (via the headset icon, “Assign session to me”, or “Connect” — now consistent across all three).
- Adopted sessions are hidden from other team members to avoid duplicate pickups.
- Anti-drop protections on the waiting page (prevents screen-lock and premature session cancellation while the client waits).
- Editable “Call-In Invitation” email template, managed in the platform like other invitation types.
- Availability tied to plan: enabled on Trial/Professional and Partner-managed subscriptions, disabled on Basic.
Live-call network resilience
A connection-aware calling experience built for unstable mobile networks.
- Automatic reconnection when the network drops or switches (e.g. Wi-Fi ↔ mobile), without user intervention; if reconnection can’t be re-established within a time limit, the user is clearly notified.
- Per-participant connection strength shown in-call, with poor-connection participants surfaced first.
- Weak-signal warning before entering a session, and slow-connection warnings during the call.
- Live data-usage display with a configurable cap and an 80%-consumption warning (plus a tooltip explaining the figure).
- Redesigned “connection lost” / “connection restored” overlays that render correctly across screen sizes.
Concurrent sessions & seats
- New Concurrent Seats model: subscriptions can be limited by the number of simultaneously running sessions instead of a fixed number of named members.
- Concurrent sessions for integrations via API key (using the
x-as-user header), so integration users don’t each need a full account.
Live call & session experience
- Screen sharing for clients during a session has been re-enabled.
- “End Session” by the assistant now ends the call for everyone (intentional end), instead of leaving participants in the lobby — while genuine disconnections still return them to the lobby.
- Snapshots now capture the active (rear) camera instead of defaulting to the front camera.
- “Reset View” button restored, letting the assistant reset zoom/pan on a captured image.
- Automatic audio-device detection when a user switches to headphones mid-session.
- Camera & microphone status icons for the client shown next to the signal indicator, so assistants can spot permission problems without opening member view.
- Sound notifications — for assistants when a client joins the queue, and for clients when the assistant joins.
- Muted means muted — a muted client microphone no longer transmits any audio to the assistant.
- Re-grant camera/mic permissions from within the app (“Try Again” now correctly re-prompts).
- Reliable session rejoin — reconnecting with a session ID & key restores the active session and handles expired sessions correctly.
- Simplified, less-cluttered mobile call UI, with the participant-list panel no longer partially hidden.
- Fixed multiple black-screen cases (on client connect, after returning from a phone call, and after taking a snapshot) and signaling-server connection failures that could block sessions from starting.
Sessions, contacts & knowledge base
- Role-based contact visibility — Owners see all contacts in a subscription; Members see only the contacts they created.
- “Create a New Session” pre-fills the client contact and auto-assigns the current user as assistant when started from a client’s context.
- Session sidebar preserves your active tab (Media / Notes / Members) when switching between sessions, instead of resetting to Details.
- Device & OS information (device type, OS, browser/user-agent) captured per session and shown in the sidebar.
- Refined “Number of Calls” logic: a call counts only when assistant and client are present together, and repeated rejoins within a session are now counted correctly.
- Knowledge Base topics sorted by creation date (newest first) instead of alphabetically.
- Contact-creation flow keeps you in Contacts (no longer redirects to Sessions), and the “Load More” button in Contacts works again.
Media library
- Shared-media labels in the sharing sidebar so it’s clear which items are being shared.
- More reliable share links and “Copy URL”, with a proper empty-state instead of a transient “Nothing found”.
- Clickable video previews in the sidebar, the visibility (eye) icon kept accessible when the sidebar is open, and faster loading of chat/image/video content.
Exports & reporting
- New export columns: Observer contacts, Session name, and assistant emails on feedback exports.
- Filter exports by user email and session name, plus a Delete action for individual exports.
- Fixed export failures when filters were applied (including phone-contact filtering/validation).
- Multi-page PDF reports now repeat the header on every page, and transcription downloads behave consistently.
Subscriptions, billing & partners
- SEPA Direct Debit hardening: license activation is deferred until payment is confirmed, and the manual “cancel payment” option was removed to prevent inconsistent subscription states.
- Manage by Partner: cleaner subscription overview (price-per-seat and upgrade controls hidden where appropriate) and correct handling when applied to existing subscriptions.
- Superadmin can remove the Trial flag, converting a subscription to full Professional (with SMS enabled).
- Service API keys valid for a group of users within a subscription, for system-to-system integrations.
Account, privacy & security
- Map generation can be disabled in My Account; when off, no map is generated after a call and it’s hidden from the session sidebar.
- Consent at sign-up split into separate agreements (Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, Data Processing Agreement) instead of a single combined checkbox.
- Trial-abuse hardening — message/SMS/email template editing blocked for trial subscriptions, enforced at the backend/API level.
- GDPR: country flags now served from local resources instead of a third-party server.
- Password-reset improvements, including handling for unverified (“shadow”) accounts and a request timeout.
Reliability & polish
Beyond the above, 5.0 includes a large number of stability and UI fixes across the platform — session creation/editing errors, dashboard accuracy, responsive-layout issues when resizing the browser, a frontend memory leak on the Sessions view, masked-input caret behavior, QR codes not rendering in Outlook invitations, and many smaller UX refinements.
